It's here! We are officially deep into rehearsal season of Nutcracker production season at Inspire Dance Centre! This year marks the 23rd annual performance of An Evening with the Nutcracker, and the word is out, ticket sales are bigger than ever. It's going to be an amazing performance this year that you won't want to miss. Here are some of the new changes in store for the upcoming Nutcracker on December 14th & 15th, and why you'll want to attend: - The role of Clara has been expanded to be woven throughout the 2nd act, including Snow, Magic Castle and more... You'll see Clara travel through the land of sweets with her prince Nutcracker to help him return home to the Sugar Plum Fairy! - Snow Corps en pointe - The advanced dancers will be performing a very challenging and enchanting 'Land of Snow', all en pointe - This is not to be missed! - Speaking of snow, there's more SNOW! We have doubled the amount of magical snow falling to create an even more magical winter wonterland. - New Costumes - Dew Drop, the lead role of the Flowers, as well as the Candy Cane lead will both be wearing new custom designed costumes. Our Chinese dancers are also wearing new costumes this year to meet the needs of the larger group this year! - Videography will be by local MetroEast.org videographers, and will be airing the performance on local cable. More information on this as it develops! The dancers are working very hard to bring you an amazing show! Everyone is getting excited for the upcoming performances, and hope you are as well! Tickets for the Nutcracker are on sale now with 3 shows to choose from: Our Friday night 7pm peformance, Saturday's matinee at 1pm, and last but not least, Saturday's early evening performance, now at a family friendly time of 6pm.
