Casey Askew Master Class - August 28thBorn and raised in Lynnwood, Washington Casey has been dancing since he was 8 years old, training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. In 2014 Casey completed his freshman year at Chapman University in Orange, California studying a degree in dance. He put college on hold the summer of 2014 as he participated in the search for America’s favorite dancer on "So You Think You Can Dance,” season 11 finishing in the top 6 dancers (top 3 guys). On the show he worked with choreographers such as Tyce Diorio, Sonya Tayeh, Mandy Moore, and Travis Wall among others. Following the show, he went on a 79 city national tour with the top 10 dancers traveling across the United States and Canada. Most recently he went on tour with Derek and Julianne Hough, of "Dancing with the Stars," as one of the ten dancers selected to perform alongside them in their latest show "Move Beyond." Casey has had the opportunity to teach dozens of master classes all across the country and has a passion for inspiring the younger generation of dancers.
